The Maker Behind the Pages

About April

April Nachelle

April Nachelle is an accountant, author, single mom, Diet Coke enthusiast, and firm believer that life rarely follows the spreadsheet.

Armed with an accounting degree, an alarming tolerance for paperwork, and a sense of humor that has survived things it absolutely should not have, April has spent her life collecting stories from beautiful, ridiculous, heartbreaking, and occasionally downright unbelievable corners of being human.

She is the proud mom of Ainslee, who remains her greatest accomplishment, favorite person, and proof that some of life's best chapters are the ones you never could have planned.

April's own story has included single motherhood, career reinvention, brain surgery, neurological injury, cancer, more medical appointments than any reasonable person should have to attend, and enough plot twists to make an editor say, “Okay, this is getting unrealistic.”

And yet here she is.

She writes with humor because sometimes laughing is the only reasonable response. She writes with honesty because polished versions of real life are boring, and she created Patchwork Pages because a life doesn't have to be tidy, matching, or even remotely according to plan to become something worth keeping.

Her personal operating philosophy can best be summarized as:

Operationally elite.
Neurologically questionable.

Usually wearing orange glasses.
Probably holding a Diet Coke.
Definitely still writing the next page.

Patchwork Pages seal — every story belongs

For Anyone Whose Life Didn't Follow the Spreadsheet

If your story has taken more plot twists than you ever signed up for, you're in the right place. These pages are for you if you:

  • Laugh at the wrong moments, because sometimes it's the only reasonable response
  • Would rather hear the honest version than the polished one
  • Have rewritten the plan more than once, and kept going anyway
  • Are stitching something beautiful out of pieces that don't quite match
  • Run on caffeine, stubbornness, and a sense of humor that refuses to quit
  • Believe the best chapters are often the ones nobody planned

Whether you're reading a bedtime story, filling in a journal, or looking for a book that makes you laugh and cry in the same chapter, there's a page here with your name on it.
